I have a photo almost exactly like this of my mom & I on my first Disney trip! :D So, of course it HAD to be a repeat!
"Let the Memories Begin", well said...
Then, out of no where and quite unexpectedly we catch the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party! :D Talk about great planning! haha! (more like luck...)
My mom LOVES having her photo taken.... HAHAHA!!!!
Gotta love that moment when Woody & your kid realize they left the house this morning wearing the same thing :D
And a classic photo in front of Cinderella's Castle! (It's a MUST!)
Then we begain our journey over to Tomorrowland, stopping to change Coleton into shorts because WOW it was getting HOT! Crazy right?!? And I kept saying, "Look buddy it's the castle!!!"
"Look momma! A FLOWER!" *sigh...*
"Hey buddy! Climb this!" and BAM, the photo I *kind of* wanted...almost...
So then, I gave up, and just took a photo of the castle haha! As you can see the street show is still going on!
Whilst in Tomorrowland, we rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Carousel of Progress (It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!!), Tomorrowland's Transit Authority or as we like to call it the People Mover:
And while we were riding around on that, I saw the perfect spot to get photos of the kids on the Tomorrowland Speedway!!
Apparently, Hoke Colburn was late so Miss Daisy decided to drive herself :D
And my future race car driver chauffering his Poppa around :D
After this, we made our way around to Fantasyland... Which is half under construction, so there were some crowds here :D Fine by us, it wasn't too terrible! We soon discovered that Coleton was just not a fan of 3D shows... He cried during Philharmagic!! But alas, we kept exposing him to them anyhow! Then, we rode It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, peeked over the wall at what will be the new Fantasyland (due to open next year....), and Coleton's favorite, THE TEACUPS!!
I mean seriously, Have you EVER seen a kid happier?? He LOVED them!! And I loved watching him on them (so much so that I risked getting sick not just once, but twice just to see the joy on his face :D)
We soon made our way to one of my dad's most favorite attractions, he was SO excited to show Coleton "The Bears", (aka Country Bear Jamboree) Coleton however, was not so impressed, roughly 3 minutes into the show he fell asleep. Sorry dad, I'm sure he'll stay away for it next time!
So, with Mugga & Poppa on babysitting duty (Thanks!!) Mark and I decided to hit up...
THE HAUNTED MANSION!! :D
Us in line :D (The whole 5 minutes it took....)
Coleton was able to get a decent nap in, and at this point we had done pretty much half the park, so we decided to catch the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade!
As you can see, Coleton was super excited as well... HAHA! And all my classic planning, I left his hat back in the room, and the sun came out SUPER bright, so, oh darn, we had to buy him a Walt Disney World hat :D
Then, the characters started to make their rounds... we really had to let Coleton know that it was ok... He was just so unsure of the whole thing! (no worries, by the end he was a PRO!)
and of course, we have to include Peter Pan now :D
Shortly after this, we grabbed some dinner (all 7 of us) at Casey's Corner, and sat down to eat, and to scope out a site to watch the fireworks from, watched the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! go through again, and then, the skies opened up and it started POURING! Like the crazies we are, we just stood in the rain, and got REALLY wet. (Except Coleton who was in his little stroller cave nice and dry :D Thanks mom for sacrificing your jacket to keep him that way!) It just wasn't worth it to us to stay and be miserable, so back to the room we went.
From here, it was about 7:40 by the time we all got changed, and we would have never made it back in time for the fireworks, so we just called it a night and went to bed a little early :D (after doing some shopping at the resort store!)
Next up....EPCOT!
